We’ve been practicing for over 20 years
Blumers Personal Injury Lawyers was founded in 2001 by Noor and Mark Blumer in Canberra. Their practice was based on a foundation of seeking justice for people who have been injured at work, on the road or out in the world. The whole idea was to get injured people back to where they were before they had their accident or injury. Blumers Lawyers are litigation specialists who only work for injured people.
Personalised Experience Meet Your Needs
Everyone at Blumers has to have a fighting spirit and this informs everything we do. We’ll meet you in a manner and time that best suits you. We know it can be hard to manage finances if your capacity to work has suffered as a result of an injury. At Blumers you don’t pay up front and if you don’t win, you don’t pay us anything.
Expanding Our Reach to Help More People
After some years of hard work and some quirky television ads, Blumers Lawyers rose to be a household name in Canberra as well as a major figure in the ACT legal profession. We have always been unique in how and why we do things…who else dropped a piano on a child-sized Chaplin?
Off the back of excellent mentorship, guidance and hard work, the firm grew meaning that we needed to expand our practice in Canberra, so we opened the partnership to two other lawyers who proved they knew a thing or two (or three or four) about top personal injury practice. Amy Burr, (who has been a part of Blumers Lawyers for almost as long as Blumers has existed), and Phil Schubert joined Noor and Mark as Directors at the helm of Blumers Lawyers in 2016.
Focus on local community

Blumers have a state-of-the-art legal management software and run a paperless office, and we can operate from anywhere in Australia.
Hobart
Growing from a local business and connecting with the local community has always been at our core so a multi-local approach to our locations is our game plan. Hobart and Canberra share many similarities and this was one of the reasons why Blumers Lawyers Hobart was established in 2018 under the Directorship of Phil Schubert, but we’re nothing without our local Tasmanian people. In Hobart we have experts in Medical Negligence, Motor Vehicle Accident, Workers Compensation and Public Liability injuries.
Perth
Noor Blumer grew up in Perth, so creating Blumers Lawyers Perth in 2020 has been a home coming for her. Again, engaging with local people in a local manner is central to our mission in Perth. We have invested in local people and with that comes some of the best plaintiff medical negligence advocates in the state as well as a crack team looking after Public Liability and Motor Vehicle Accident injuries for our clients.
Recognised Industry Experts
As experts in the industry, Blumers Personal Injury Lawyers and our lawyers are routinely listed in the prestigious Doyles Guide. This is an independently reviewed list of lawyers and law firms across Australia and voted for by our opposing practitioners. Amy Burr (ACT Director), Noor Blumer (WA Director), Phil Schubert (TAS Director, Chris Gribble (Senior Solicitor Canberra), Ian Murray (Senior Solicitor Perth) and our firm as a whole have received great recognition in the list for several years.
A number of our lawyers are Accredited Specialist Personal Injury lawyers. Specialist accreditation in personal injury law is offered by the Law Society of New South Wales and is a rigorous peer assessment program further developing expertise in the personal injury field.
